SAT
The School-Day SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2026. This test is offered to all 11th-grade students at no cost.
Check back here in early March for test-day logistics, including testing locations, the modified bell schedule, and other important information.
Accommodations and the SAT
Classroom accommodations are not automatically available to you when you take College Board tests (AP exams, the SAT, or the PSAT). The school must have parental permission to submit student information to College Board. College Board then approves or disapproves the accommodations recommended by the school, based on your classroom accommodations as directed by your 504 plan or IEP. Accommodations from previous years often carry over, but you should verify the accommodations on file using the College Board's SSD website.
The information about submitting the consent form for accommodations with College Board will also be sent to families with 504 or IEP students via email in early January 2026.
Opting-Out of the School-Day SAT
Our district provides the SAT at no cost to all 11th-grade students by covering the exam fee. Offering the SAT during the school day ensures that every student has access to a nationally recognized college entrance exam, regardless of financial circumstances.
Taking the SAT can be beneficial for students who plan to apply to colleges or universities, seek scholarships, or want a standardized score for college admissions or placement. Some students may also use SAT scores for career or postsecondary programs that request them.
However, participation in the SAT is not required. Families may choose to opt out for a variety of reasons, including:
-
Plans to attend a test-optional institution or follow a non-college pathway
-
Prior qualifying SAT or ACT scores
-
Testing accommodations or circumstances that make participation impractical
-
Personal, medical, or scheduling considerations
Families who wish to opt out may do so by completing and submitting the opt-out form by Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Completed forms can be returned to the school or emailed to Janel Tortorice.
