District 16-6A girls’ basketball players earn 2024-2025 league honors
Cypress Springs High School senior Ayla McDowell was named District 16-6A girls’ basketball Most Valuable Player of the 2024-2025 season.
March 7, 2025—District 16-6A girls’ basketball coaches recently released the 2024-2025 All-District 16-6A Girls’ Basketball Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
Cypress Springs High School senior Ayla McDowell was named the district’s Most Valuable Player for the 2024-2025 season while sophomore teammate Jemini Mitchell was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Cypress Springs High School sophomore Jemini Mitchell was named District 16-6A girls’ basketball Offensive Player of the 2024-2025 season.
Cypress Ranch High School junior Averie Steele was named Defensive Player of the Year and Langham Creek High School freshman Reese Fernandez was named Newcomer of the Year.
Cypress Springs Head Coach Taneisha Rogers was voted Coach of the Year.
