The Cypress Lakes High School girls’ basketball team defeated The Woodlands, 45-44. The Spartans advance to play Cedar Hill at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Waco Robinson High School.

Feb. 23, 2026—The Cypress Springs, Cypress Lakes, Langham Creek, Cypress Creek and Jersey Village high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the region quarterfinals, while Cypress Falls High School concluded its season.  

Cypress Springs defeated Spring Westfield, 65-32. The Panthers advance to face DeSoto at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Madisonville High School (811A May Street)

Cypress Lakes defeated The Woodlands, 45-44. The Spartans advance to play Cedar Hill at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Waco Robinson High School (700 W. Tate Ave.)

Langham Creek defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 49-16. The Lobos advance to meet Lancaster at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Fairfield High School (631 Post Oak Road).

Cypress Creek defeated Katy Seven Lakes, 67-58. The Cougars advance to face Humble Summer Creek at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at the Aldine ISD Campbell Center (1865 Aldine Bender Road)

Jersey Village defeated Fulshear, 48-42. The Falcons advance to play Pearland Dawson at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at the Aldine ISD Campbell Center.

Cypress Falls was defeated by Alief Taylor, 59-55. The Golden Eagles finished the season as area finalists.
