Cell Phone Policy
It is a campus and district policy that cell phones are NOT allowed in classrooms. All cell phones and other electronic devices, including smart watches, will be turned off at the beginning of the period and put away in a backpack or a teacher can have a more restrictive procedure to make sure phones are not accessible in class. The reason for this emphasis on putting away the phones is that it has become clear that the access to the phones during class takes away from the instruction and learning that should be happening.
In Hallways/Cafeteria
- Students are allowed to use their cellphones and one earbud (safety/security reasons).
- No overhead headphones are allowed on campus
