This summer, beginning June 9, free, nutritious breakfasts and lunches will be offered to children 18 and under at select school locations. All meal sites will be open Monday through Thursday and will be closed on June 19.

June 17, 2025—A total of 170 CFISD student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A boys’ and girls’ golf teams.
June 5, 2025—District 16-6A baseball recently released the 2024-2025 All-District 16-6A Baseball Team following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
June 4, 2025—Students from Cypress Ranch, Cypress Woods and Langham Creek high schools placed in the top six in two different categories at the UIL State Theatrical Design Contest, held May 16-17 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center.
June 4, 2025—The 12 CFISD graduation ceremonies held at the Berry Center from May 28-31 produced a total of 9,550 graduates for the class of 2025.
A mobile service program provided to select schools throughout the district to encourage literacy. Students are provided an opportunity to check out library books, acquire free books for their own collections, receive a snack, and occasionally listen to books read aloud.

May 22, 2025—District 16-6A softball coaches released the 2025 All-District 16-6A Softball Team following the conclusion of each team’s season.
May 22, 2025—CFISD has been honored with the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education national designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for the eighth consecutive year.
May 16, 2025—Two CFISD art students had their work selected as top five finalists in the District 8 and District 38 Congressional Art Contests, hosted by U.S. Representatives Morgan Luttrell and Wesley Hunt, respectively.
May 7, 2025—The Langham Creek High School softball team advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and moves on to the region semifinal round this week, while Cy-Fair High School concluded its season as area finalists.

April 30, 2025—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A baseball seasons ended on April 25, with six CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL playoffs.

March 19, 2025—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A soccer seasons concluded March 7, with the top four boys’ and girls’ teams from each side qualifying for the UIL playoffs that begin March 20.

Nov. 26, 2024—The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) named CFISD a 2024 District of Distinction award winner, marking the fourth time the district has earned the prestigious designation. CFISD is among only 96 districts in the state to earn this award.

District 20-6A water polo coaches recently released the 2024 All-District 20-6A Water Polo Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
The Bridgeland High School marching band was named the grand champion at the Battle at the Berry marching band competition, held Oct. 19 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.
Langham Creek High School automotive teacher Jonathan Couch is revving up excitement in the classroom. Couch has given automotive students the opportunity to restore a NASCAR stock car.

The District 20-6A and District 16-6A water polo seasons ended on Oct. 2 with 16 CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL playoffs.
Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents. The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class.
Langham Creek High School senior Hailey Vo was named to the UIL/ILPC All-State Journalism staff in August along with the best in Texas, and is the only nominee from CFISD
